Block Layer € 46,644 / Annum Employment Type Permanent | Full Time Description BLOCK LAYER Company: Young’s Forge Limited Location: Ballynorig East, Causeway, County Kerry Eircode: V92T3P9 Vacancies: 2 Positions Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week Salary: €46,644.00 per annum Job Summary We are seeking two qualified and experienced Block Layers to join our construction team working across residential, commercial and industrial projects. Main Duties • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications • Lay blocks, bricks and masonry materials to construct walls, foundations and structural elements • Prepare work areas, mix and apply mortar, ensure correct levels, alignment and structural integrity • Install damp proof courses, insulation, lintels and cavity wall systems • Cut and shape materials using appropriate tools and machinery • Ensure all work complies with building regulations, quality standards and health & safety rules • Work effectively alongside other trades and site teams Requirements • Diploma in Block Laying or Masonry or related vocational qualification • Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience in the construction industry • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications • Good knowledge of materials, construction methods and safety regulations • Competent use of all relevant hand and power tools • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Hours: 39 hours per week Career level: Experienced [Non-Managerial] Closing date: 27 May 2026
