Care Support Worker | Intellectual Disability Services | Nenagh, Co. Tipperary Salary: €38,000 – €52,000 (DOE) Hours: Full-time Contract: Fixed-term with potential for permanency Consistent Support in a Structured Care Environment This role is suited to Care Support Workers who want to work in a structured, person-centred service supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. You’ll be part of a service focused on: Consistency and routine Independence and personal development Community participation and inclusion Respect, dignity and safeguarding This is practical, relationship-based support work where reliability, professionalism and person-centred care are central to daily practice. What You’ll Do Support individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily routines and activities Encourage independence through practical, consistent support Assist with community participation and everyday engagement Build positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect Deliver person-centred support aligned with individual care plans Work within HIQA standards, safeguarding policies and structured procedures Collaborate with Social Care Workers and multidisciplinary teams What You’ll Need Relevant qualification in Social Care, Healthcare Support or related discipline preferred Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or similar care settings Consistent, reliable and people-focused approach Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional care standards Manual Handling & First Aid (in date or willingness to update) What You’ll Get Opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent roles Structured and supportive team environment Ongoing training and CPD opportunities Clear systems, support and professional guidance Meaningful work supporting independence, confidence and quality of life Hours: 38 hours per week Career level: Experienced [Non-Managerial] Closing date: 04 Jun 2026
