Caretaker Part Time

• Security: To be responsible for the opening and closing of the facility as required, and to ensure the security of the building at all times. • Facility Maintenance: To take care of the premises and contents and to prevent, as far as possible, any damage to the structure, furniture, fittings, and equipment. This includes carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, cleaning and painting as required while facilitating and supporting qualified contractors for major repairs. • Cleaning & Upkeep: Keep the premises, furniture, and fittings in a clean and orderly condition. This includes maintaining and cleaning the general corridors, sports hall, changing rooms, toilets, and other associated areas on a daily basis following a daily/weekly schedule. • Keep the entrance Area and lobby clean, organised and in good condition. • Room Setup & Bookings: Preparing rooms for meetings, events, or classes, and assisting with facility bookings. • To be responsible for carrying out Health and Safety checks, including fire and emergency lighting checks, and to keep accurate and up-to-date records. To ensure a safe and clean external environment, including gritting and salting pathways during icy conditions. • Inventory Control: Managing equipment, materials, and cleaning supplies. • Customer Service: To provide a welcoming and helpful service to all users of the facility. To set up and take down equipment for bookings and events as required. • Teamwork and Communication: To liaise with the CBD Board and other staff on a regular basis. To work effectively and supportively as a member of the team. • Participate in CBD Recreational Centre fundraising activities Please note the salary rate is for a full time role and will be prorate for part time hours.
