CNC Machine Operator/Setter

This role is suitable for an experienced CNC Operator with a minimum of five years experience in a similar role. Knowledge of and experience with 3D CAD is also essential. This role may evolve over time but at its core will involve: 1) Programming, Setting and Operation of CNC Turning Centres. Knowledge and experience of the setting and operation of the CNC machines is essential. 2) Selection of tooling and fixturing and appropriate speeds and feeds for material being machined. 3) Carry out detailed quality checks - with a high attention to detail - ensuring that all relevant Inspections and Pass Off of machined parts is completed to required quality levels. 4) Help develop and set new standards for production processes 5) Accurate completion of Works Order Paperwork and part production documentation. 6) Ability to work on other processes (e.g. Setting and operating automatic saw) a distinct advantage. 7) Demonstrates a proactive approach to work ensuring that production area is always ahead of schedule. 8) Operate all machinery and equipment to the highest H&S standards and take responsibility for ensuring a high standard of H&S in your general work area. 9) Take responsibility for maintaining the highest possible 5S standards throughout work station/area 10) Any other tasks as required for the smooth running of the factory.
