Head Chef

Gusso’s Café_ is seeking a Head Chef to work at Unit 3, Newtown Mahon, Limerick, V94D425. Duties include overseeing and directing all kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest culinary and hygiene standards; designing, developing and costing menus in accordance with seasonal availability, budgetary requirements and the establishment’s culinary vision; managing, training and supervising kitchen staff, fostering professional development, discipline and adherence to operational procedures; ensuring full compliance with food safety, sanitation and health regulations, maintaining accurate records and upholding legal standards at all times; controlling stock levels and procurement, liaising with suppliers to secure quality ingredients while minimising waste and maintaining cost efficiency; and coordinating with front-of-house management to ensure effective communication regarding service flow, special requirements and overall guest satisfaction. Applicants must have at least five years’ experience as a chef in a similar role and possess excellent communication skills. Salary: €36,605.00 per annum. Hours: 39 per week.
