Industrial Surface Preparation and Coatings Technician

Job Description & Skills Required Isoldes Construction Ltd t/a Dublin Painters is hiring for an Industrial Surface Preparation and Coatings Technician at 113 Bushy Park House Templeogue Road Terenure D6W KN80 Responsibilities: Prepare a variety of surfaces (metal, concrete, steel structures) using sandblasting, power tools, and chemical cleaning agents. Apply specialized protective coatings (epoxy, polyurethane, fire-retardant, or anti-corrosion) in industrial or commercial construction settings. Interpret blueprints and technical specifications related to coating applications and surface treatment. Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) to ensure proper adhesion and durability of coatings. Maintain spraying, painting, and coating equipment to health and safety standards. Work in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including confined space and working at height standards. Collaborate with engineers, foremen, and site supervisors to meet project timelines and technical requirements. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial painting or coating application in Residential and Non-Residential Buildings. Knowledge of surface profiling, coating systems, and environmental safety protocols. Qualifications in abrasive blasting, spray painting, or health & safety.
