Live-in Carer

Donal Corcoran Parochial House is seeking a compassionate and qualified Live-in Carer to provide dedicated, one-to-one care to an individual with a medical condition in a private home setting. The role requires delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the individual’s medical, physical, and emotional needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver a high standard of care and provide continuous, one-to-one care tailored to the patient’s specific medical condition Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, Monitor and report changes in the patient’s health condition Assist with feeding and nutritional support where required Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment Provide emotional support and companionship Work in line with care plans and medical guidance from treating professionals as required Meal preparation and basic cooking Confidentiality Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and company information Ensure all records and information comply with GDPR requirements Essential Requirements QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant healthcare discipline Ability to provide high-level care in a home setting Good communication and interpersonal skills Desirable Up to 6 months’ experience in a residential care setting Additional Information This role is strictly for care in a private home for a person with exceptional medical needs Supporting documentation may be required as part of the employment permit application Hours: 39 hours per week Career level: Entry Level Closing date: 03 Jun 2026
