Shop Assistant

JB Business in Kilmallock, Co. Limerick is seeking a friendly and efficient Retail Sales Assistant / Cashier to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, customer-focused individual to build a stable career in Irish retail, with full training provided and subsidised shared accommodation available locally. Starting pay is €14.15 per hour. Subsidised shared staff accommodation is offered in the Kilmallock/Bruree area, with rent between €100 and €150 per week. We provide comprehensive training in cash handling, merchandising, and Irish retail standards, along with ongoing support and opportunities to progress within the team. The role involves serving customers at the till, accurately processing payments and balancing cash drawers, maintaining clean and well-stocked shelves, receiving and checking deliveries, rotating stock to minimise waste, and assisting the deli or bakery with basic food preparation when required. You will work closely with the Person in Charge and the wider store team to keep the shop running smoothly. We welcome applications from EU citizens and anyone with the legal right to work in Ireland. Previous retail or cash-handling experience is an advantage but not essential — a positive attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
