Shunter Driver

Location : Working in Kingscourt Area Job Purpose: Virginia International Logistics are currently seeking highly motivated, professional HGV drivers to join our transport team. You will be shunting at our client’s site in the Kingscourt area Shunting trailers onto bays, around the yard within the above areas Sorting empty pallets, preparing trailers for onward delivery ensuring load security. Proposed work hours 8:00 to 15:00, Mon to Fri Applications only accepted from current EU residents. Essential Requirements: Valid C & E licenses Full clean driving license, drivers card and up to date CPC as per legislation Digital tachograph driver card. Traceable HGV driving experience - a minimum of 1.5 years. Excellent communication, customer care and interpersonal skills Reliable with a flexible and adaptable approach to work with a positive attitude Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and focused. Ability to take and follow instruction from planning office Flexible and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. Desirable Requirements: Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety Legislation Good knowledge of Road Traffic legislation Experience working in the haulage and logistics industry.
