STEEL FIXER € 45,264 / Annum Employment Type Permanent | Full Time Description STEEL FIXER Company: Young’s Forge Limited Location: Ballynorig East, Causeway, County Kerry Eircode: V92T3P9 Vacancies: 2 Positions Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week Salary: €45,264.96 per annum Job Summary We are recruiting two qualified Steel Fixers to work on structural construction projects, preparing and installing reinforcement steel for concrete works. Main Duties • Read and interpret structural drawings, bar bending schedules and specifications • Cut, bend, shape and assemble reinforcement bars and mesh according to design requirements • Position, secure and fix reinforcement in place using ties, spacers and supports • Ensure correct placement, alignment, coverage and structural integrity as per engineering standards • Inspect materials and work to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations • Coordinate work with site engineers and other trades to ensure project progress • Operate tools and machinery safely and follow all site health & safety procedures Requirements • Diploma in Steel Fixing / Reinforced Concrete Works or related vocational qualification • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working as a qualified steel fixer • Ability to read technical drawings, schedules and structural plans • Knowledge of reinforcement standards, building regulations and construction methods • Competent use of all relevant tools and equipment • Good physical fitness, attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team Hours: 39 hours per week Career level: Experienced [Non-Managerial] Closing date: 27 May 2026
